Distech Controls Inc. announced today that is has acquired
Acelia and Comtec Technologie from the France-based company,
Groupe Arcom. Acelia is the sales unit of Arcom while Comtec
Technologie represents the research, development and manufacturing
division.
Groupe Arcom designs and manufactures a range of building
automation products including HVAC, lighting and sunblind
control systems - all based on open building control protocols,
notably BACnet®, LONWORKS®, EnOcean® and DALI.
The company offers expertise in Integrated Room Control
technology that substantially reduces a building’s
energy consumption and CO2 emissions.
With the integration of Comtec, Distech Controls continues
to expand its worldwide distribution of open and interoperable
building control technologies. The synergies between the
organizations will be capitalized to strengthen Distech
Controls’ industry leading position. The newly acquired
products from Comtec will complement Distech Controls’
existing product offering. Distech Controls’ extensive
range of LONWORKS and BACnet HVAC controllers, lighting
control and security solutions will be integrated into the
Acelia offering. Customers will be able to take advantage
of end-to-end solutions that meet the very highest international
“green” standards for building automation systems.
The Acelia and Comtec acquisition significantly increases
Distech Controls’ market share across Europe and the
Middle East.
