  • Metronode data centres are designed with power systems that include redundancy, uninterruptible power supplies and N+1 levels or greater and a backup generator system.
  • Integration at both Silverwater and Unanderra locations implemented for:
    • Office space
    • Plant room settings
  • EC-NetAX Web-based building management platform used to integrate with existing control and terminal equipment

  • Pacnet is Asia’s leading independent telecommunications service provider, offering a network of interconnected data centres across Asia, to meet the hosting needs of carriers and enterprises
  • Three data halls for the site planned
  • EC-NetAX web-based multi-protocol building management solution for the integration and:
    • Control and monitoring of HVAC equipment throughout the building inclusive of data hall CRAC units
    • Monitoring of fire trip alarms
    • Multi-function meters
    • Main switchboard fault and condition statuses
    • Monitoring of DRUPS units
    • Maintaining optimum temperature and humidity levels
  • Building automation system designed to allow for future expansion and addition of 2 other skating rings

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)

Silver Spring, MD
  • Retrofit of 3 buildings totaling 50 stories representing one million square feet
  • Major mechanical and control upgrade focusing on tenant comfort and energy conservation in a fully occupied facility.
  • Integration and control of HVAC and Lighting EC-NetAX Web-based platform, BACnet ECB Series controllers
  • Over 2,000 controllers installed, for more than 20,000 data points
  • Project delivered increased tenant comfort while significantly reducing their electrical consumption.

Public Health Ontario - MaRS Phase II

Toronto, Ontario, Canada
  • Public Health Ontario (PHO) relocated its largest laboratory to the MaRS Discovery District in downtown Toronto, a key aspect of Ontario’s multi-year plan to renew the province’s public health system
  • PHO took over 5 storeys in the Phase II tower, with its state-of-the-art laboratories and office space
  • EC-NetAX web-based multi-protocol building management solution used for unified integration, control and monitoring of HVAC and mechanical system, office spaces and laboratory with:
    • Over 500 ECB Series BACnet programmable controllers : ECB-VAV, ECB-103, ECB-300, ECB-400, ECB-600
    • Allure EC-Smart-Vue communicating sensors
    • Open-to-Wireless, wireless, battery-less wall sensors
  • EC-NetAX combined with BACnet programmable controllers to provide:
    • Control and integration of mechanical system and laboratory equipment
      • Laboratory: AHUs & dedicated exhaust fans with a combination of VAV boxes and venturi air valves
      • Office: compartment AHUs with VAV boxes
      • Approximately 450 terminal zones and 20 air-handling unit/exhaust fan systems
    • The sequencing of specialized containment operations in case of failure
    • Web-based graphical user interface for end-users, providing a unified view of mechanical equipment, office spaces and laboratory equipment
      • Features 3-D modeling of labs, as an easy-to-understand visual representation to quickly see the containment status of their facility
    • Remote access to safely allow building staff to monitor the system, review any alarms, etc.
  • Web-based capabilities of EC-NetAX permitted integration and links with the cloud based training and documentation program
  • Created a system that was intuitive and user friendly, while successfully delivering on all efficiency and control requirements - achieving the laboratory Containment Level certifications
