Brossard, Canada – March 3, 2021 – Distech Controls^TM, an innovation leader connecting people with intelligent building solutions, is pleased to announce the recent addition of Pierre Rizk and Shawn Tan as regional sales managers on the international sales team in the Middle East and Asia respectively, effective immediately. Pierre and Shawn will be responsible for developing sales channels across their territories as well as providing the necessary support infrastructure and resources to support customers in the region. 

Pierre Rizk joins Distech Controls in the role of Regional Sales Manager for the Middle East and will be based in Lebanon. With more than 18 years of experience in information technology and operational technology sectors, Pierre will be responsible for developing sales channels across the Middle East, North Africa & Turkey. He brings a wealth of knowledge in selling BAS/HVAC products and services in all vertical markets, including five years’ experience as a Business Development Manager in a previous role with an end to-end Distech Controls solutions provider in the region.  Additionally, Pierre spent 8 years with an information technology company in various positions throughout the Middle East. He graduated from Saint Lawrence College in Ontario as a Computer Engineering Technologist.

Shawn Tan joins the team in the role of Regional Sales Manager for Asia and will be based in Singapore. Shawn brings more than 15 years of vast experience in selling BAS/HVAC solutions, products and services and experience in building automation and project management experience to the role. He spent 11 years with a building technology firm in various positions including Head of Projects, Operations Manager, Engineering Manager and Head of Solutions in Malaysia and Singapore. Shawn graduated with a Master of Business Administration from Murdoch University.
